Chris is a phenomenal photographer and I've been so impressed with the quality of his work and ability to capture the 'essence' of people. My first experience with Chris is when he took school pictures for my grand-daughters at their preschool. We are a family of 4 from Colorado and had a summer trip planned to Santa Cruz. Since we did the pre-planning out of state, I asked Chris for his advice on where we should have the photo session and he gave me 2 awesome locations to pick from. Chris is amazing! The end product is great, the whole process is smooth and efficient and he makes everything a lot more relaxing and natural feeling. He was nice enough to send us one picture almost immediately after the shoot and then the rest the next day which was way quicker than I expected.

I found Chris via Groupon. What a find! I looked at his blog, liked his photos and decided to have Chris take some family photos. We're a family who doesn't do family photos. Now that our daughter is 6 I thought it was time to maybe take a picture or two. Chris has an amazing eye. His photos turned out at least a gazillion times better than I ever could have imagined.

For the first time ever, I decided to hire a pro to take photos of our whole family + dogs over the Thanksgiving holiday. Chris isn't only a wedding or a family photographer. He is a pet photographer too. While my husband and I were having our maternity photo session with him, he candidly snapped photos of our little guy, our yorkie.

Chris is a true master photographer and artist. I do mean master. Yes, a camera is just a small light gathering device with a button on top, but for perspective, a piano is just a strapless push-button tone console, weighing a bit more. Now, most people can operate both of these items in a basic way - but people who have mastered the piano to the extent that Chris has mastered the camera are, well, they can cross-dress and not get fired.

What this post attempts to convey most is that in the world of artists who operate things (cameras, pianos, brush/canvas, typewriters, stoves, and other utensils of art) there are "masters", like Chris, who introduce us to a new scale and means of comparison. A visit to Chris' photography site will do what my words can not. Go experience a connection with his work. Among his pics, you will surely find some that ring your bell. Everything about the experience was awesome!

Chris had his own, easy to carry, lighting that enabled him to climb stairs and move quickly from site to site. He is a patient photographer with a true artist's flair. I love all the pics he captured!

Ordering prints was really easy and they look fantastic! I chose the 'metallic' paper for all of my prints and it really makes everything pop!

I have zero complaints (except it was terribly hard to choose which images to buy) and highly recommend GoodEye Photography!

Chris is amazing! Let's start with customer service: Chris graciously worked with us to find a suitable time and even re-booked twice cheerfully and professionally! His communication with us contained every bit of info we could possibly need to make the shoot a great one. He was flexible and honest with us to find a location that would enhance our photos even changing the location to be better than the one we initially picked.

Professionally: It surprised me how quickly and easily Chris set up shots and took them, and honestly I wondered if the photos would turn out as well as I hoped; until I saw them! Beautiful and creative with an instinctive flair for the surroundings and each of our personalities. He captured our family dynamics well too. I still am in awe of how he managed to grab photos that make it look like the beach was our very own considering how much traffic there actually was.

Chris was fun to work with and extremely professional. His manner, which I found to be easy and casual yet briskly competent and efficient, set us at ease and got the job done very quickly. I never imagined that in an hour he could accomplish so much.

I can easily say that I like every photo and love most of them! I've never had that experience before with any photo session, as usually there end up being only a few I really like. It will be hard to choose.

We recently used Good Eye Photography for family pictures and were very happy. Chris was very easy to book and communicate with. We set up a date, time and location through email and text. His website was straightforward and had all the information we needed.

He was able to herd three generations--grandparents, parents, and children--gently and most efficiently during our one-hour session. Even our most reluctant photo subjects thought it was a great experience.

His photographs are gorgeous and captured so many natural moments. We're thrilled with the results. The portraits are now a treasured part of our family history.

We had Chris from GoodEye Photography do a photo shoot for my daughter's high school senior pictures. My daughter is not naturally comfortable in front of the camera (as most people) but Chris was patient and made the experience very enjoyable for her. Had a great mini-shoot with Chris. He quickly made everyone in the family comfortable. He gave us enough direction to get the right shots but also still have them feel natural. He knew the right time to shoot at the beach to get the best light and the least amount of crowds!

We're absolutely thrilled with the senior photos Chris took of our son at Nisene Marks State Park. They're a product of his incredible talent and warm personality that helps clients feel comfortable!

My son is going to be a freshman at UCSC, so we reached out to Chris to get my son's senior photos taken when we were visiting Santa Cruz last weekend. I looked at many photographers' websites and sample photos and was drawn to Chris' work and his personality that shone through his website.

You see, my son really dislikes photos of himself. He's self-conscious about his appearance and never posts photos of himself online. And I'm a mom who wants to be sensitive to that AND who also wants nice photos to send as grad announcements and to help him to see himself in a positive light.

From the beginning of the session, Chris developed a rapport with him and made him feel comfortable, and as a result, the pictures capture his personality. Of course, the biggest win is that my son now has 15 pictures he likes of himself, and that's priceless!

I bought a Groupon with Chris, and I couldn't be happier with the results! He worked us into his busy schedule at a date and time that worked for all of us as most came over from the Bay Area. Our photo shoot with multiple families, and kids of all ages went off without a hitch.

Everyone had a great time on the beach, AND the photo's turned out just stunning. I can't look at them without choking up! Chris really caught everyone's spirit, and love for each other.

We tried Chris out for some family photos with our 3 year old and 5 month old sons in August 2011 because we got a Groupon. Our 3 year old is in a phase where he refuses to pose for a camera. He usually hides his face or turns around, so I knew it was going to be a challenge to get some good shots.

We decided to shoot at our house, indoors, and outdoors. Chris was really relaxed and laid back, which was great, and also offered and welcomed suggestions. We mostly took photos with our baby, but toward the end of shoot, our 3 year old finally started hanging out with us, and Chris was able to snap some really great candids and family photos when the opportunities arose.

I was amazed we got so many cute photos in the short amount of time that our 3 year old was with us. I was also impressed with Chris' patience when our son was not cooperating. Before our shoot with Chris, we probably only had one or two photos with the four of us in it.

Now we have about 15 that I love. Great work Chris!

We had such an amazing experience. Chris took beautiful pictures of my family and was great with my less than cooperative 6 year old. My review is coming a bit late! I drove from Fresno to have the photos done and it was SO worth it.

I think the thing that really sets Chris apart from so many others is that he's relaxed and personable, yet focused. My girls were having so much fun just being girls that the photos came out spectacular. He just knew how to capture those special moments.

The fact that he is so relaxed makes the clients feel the same, therefore the pictures come out very authentic and not posed. He's educated in graphic design, which is a huge plus. Chris is so organized that he came to my house to help me decide on a size of canvas for a particular wall.

I hired Chris to do product shots for my business and found that he didn't just have a "good" eye but a great one for layout and design. I have received several compliments on my ads by my customers.

I asked Chris about doing portraits of my children so that I could make a father's day gift for my husband, but at the last minute I decided to go with fun candid shots. So Chris came to my sons birthday party at Pump-it-up in Sunnyvale. The shots that he got of all of the children were amazing. I put together a wonderful collage of photos for the gift for my husband and he loved it!

I can never get a good photo of my kids; they see me coming with a camera and they run, but they never even noticed that Chris was photographing them! He was able to get the shots with no effort at all and the smiles that he captured are memories that we will treasure for a lifetime.

Chris did an amazing job on my maternity pictures! This is my second pregnancy, and I wanted to capture some pictures of my baby bump as well as pictures of my toddler with my belly. Unfortunately, my two year old decided to throw temper tantrums for most of the shoot - yet Chris was great! He was so very patient and understanding and accommodated my toddlers demands. He even was able to get some good pictures of him in between the tears! But best of all- the pictures turned out fabulous. Chris does an amazing job capturing emotions, a simple laugh or nervous smile from my toddler really shows through in the pictures.

I have already booked a full family session with GoodEye for once baby #2 arrives- I can't wait to see how those turn out!
