Why Pescadero
What we love about Pescadero for family sessions.
Pescadero and Pigeon Point put a family on wide, windswept bluffs beside one of the tallest lighthouses on the West Coast. It's rural and uncrowded, the kind of San Mateo coastline where you can shoot for an hour and barely see another person. The light out here at the end of the day is spectacular, and the lighthouse gives every photo a landmark. Bring a layer; the coast wind is part of the charm.
Best time of year
Late spring through fall for the clearest evenings. That late sun by the lighthouse is the reason to come.
