What we love about Woodside for family sessions.
Woodside and the Filoli estate give families a backdrop you won't find anywhere else on the Peninsula: formal English gardens, clipped hedges, a historic house, and grounds that change dramatically with the season. It's a dressier setting than a beach or a park, which makes it a favorite for milestone family portraits, anniversaries, and holiday sessions. We work around the garden's hours and the light, and the manicured paths make it easy for every age to get around.
Best time of year
Spring for blossoms and tulips, fall for warm color. Filoli's daily hours set the window, so we plan around them.
