Why San Francisco

What we love about San Francisco for family sessions.

San Francisco packs an unreasonable number of great family backdrops into a small footprint: the Palace of Fine Arts rotunda, Baker Beach with the bridge behind you, the Presidio's cypress groves. It's the city that knows how to look good in any weather, and the fog usually works in your favor. We keep sessions here efficient and low-stress, which matters when you're wrangling kids and parking in the city. One scheduling note: at Baker Beach, mornings beat afternoons, because the wind comes up hard after lunch.

Best time of year
Year-round. Summer mornings lean foggy (the marine layer is a feature, not a bug), and autumn (September into October) brings the clearest, warmest days.
