Why Watsonville
What we love about Watsonville for family sessions.
Watsonville sits at the south end of Monterey Bay, where the Pajaro Dunes stretch along miles of quiet, uncrowded sand. Almost nobody thinks to shoot here, which is exactly the appeal: soft dunes, gentle surf, and even on a Saturday you can usually count the other groups on one hand. Palm Beach at the river mouth adds tide pools and driftwood. The walk from car to sand is short and flat, wagons and grandparents included, and the last hour of sun turns the dunes gold.

Late spring through fall for the warmest evenings; the dunes shoot beautifully in late sun.
